On Thursday afternoon, June 26th at 12:54 PM, East Brandywine Fire Company was dispatched along with EMS from Coatesville and Westwood to the intersection of Manor Road and Hibernia Road in West Brandywine Township for a reported vehicle accident.

Initial reports indicated a two-vehicle crash with both vehicles blocking the roadway and one occupant suffering a wrist injury. West Brandywine Township Police arrived on scene shortly after dispatch and confirmed the report, requesting Manor Road be closed between Culbertson Run Road and Route 322 for the safety of emergency responders and cleanup operations.

East Brandywine crews responded with Safety 49, Rescue 49, and Engine 49-2. Upon arrival, Rescue 49 proceeded directly to the scene to secure both vehicles and mitigate any potential hazards. Safety 49 and Engine 49-2 assisted with traffic control to help redirect motorists around the closure.

One individual was transported by EMS to a local hospital for evaluation. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported.

Flings Towing was requested and removed both vehicles from the scene. The roadway remained closed for approximately 40 minutes before being reopened to traffic. All fire and EMS units cleared the scene shortly after.
