This morning at 11:09am the Thorndale Fire Company along with Engine 76 from the VA Fire Department were dispatched to the 2500blk of Clothier St in Caln for a report of a light fixture on fire in the 2nd floor bathroom. Deputy 38 arrived with light smoke showing from the roof and requested the upgrade to a house fire which added Engine 49-2 along with several other mutual aid departments

Engine 49-2 along with Utility 49-1 and 2 responded with 11 and upon arrival the Engine secured their own hydrant at Essex and Clothier and laid into the scene and then stretched a 300' 1 3/4 handline to the fire building. Crews were tasked with checking the exposures on both sides of the original home. Luckily no extension was found on either side. Crews remained on scene for approximately 1 hour before being cleared from the scene.
