🔥 Fall Lawn Mower Fire Safety Tips: As we head deeper into fall, it’s a good reminder that lawn equipment fires can happen quickly. Here are a few ways to help prevent them: Let equipment cool before refueling. Never add gas to a hot engine. Clean off debris. Dry grass, leaves, and mulch can collect around the engine and muffler, creating an easy ignition source. Inspect for fuel leaks. Check hoses, filters, and caps regularly. Store equipment safely. Keep mowers and fuel containers in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources. Perform end-of-season maintenance. Before storing your mower for winter, clean it thoroughly, remove excess fuel, and inspect wiring for damage. |
