On Wednesday night January 7th the EBFC volunteers gathered at the station for our weekly training night. This weeks agenda was an internal review of the house fire in our first due the previous week. Crews discussed the incident in depth and while we were just about to finish the company was dispatched to Reeceville Rd in front of Freedom Village for an auto accident.

Battalion 49, QRS 49, Rescue 49, Ladder 49, Engine 49-2 and Utility 49-1 all made the response and upon arrival found a two vehicle accident blocking the roadway in front of Freedom Village. Engine 49-2 came in from the south side closest to the old Brandywine Hospital and shut traffic down on that side while Utility 49-1 came in from the north side and closed traffic on that side. Traffic was diverted through the old school parking lot while units were on scene.

Ladder 49 and Rescue 49 secured the hazards while QRS 49 checking on the patients involved. Crews were on scene for approximately 25 minutes before clearning once Flings Towing removed the vehicles.
