On Monday morning at 10:02 a.m., EMS units were dispatched to the area of Vienna Boulevard and Lynmere Circle in West Brandywine for a medical emergency. MICU 244-1 from Westwood arrived on scene, and after assessing the patient, determined that air transport to the city would be necessary for medical treatment.

EBFC units were then dispatched to establish a landing zone for LifeNet 61. Engine 49-2, along with Utilities 49-1 and 49-2, responded and set up the landing zone at Brandywine Community Park off Ramblewood Drive. The helicopter landed safely, and its crew, assisted by EBFC members, transferred the patient into the helicopter. The helicopter then departed toward the city a short time later.

EBFC units and EMS cleared the scene soon after.
