Auto Accident with Multiple Patients in West Brandywine |

| On Friday night at 10:02pm the company was dispatched to 1728 Horseshoe Pike in West Brandywine for a vehicle accident reported with injuries. QRS 49 was already enroute to another call and came upon this accident and stopped to render aid. There was 6 potential patients on scene and QRS 49 requested two additional EMS units to the scene. Assistant 49, Rescue 49, Ladder 49 and Utility 49-1 also all made the response to the scene. Upon arrival on scene Assistant 49 took command, Rescue 49 and Ladder 49 upon their arrival assisted with hazard control, debris clean up and also assisted with patient evaluation while awaiting the additional EMS units to arrived. Utility 49-1 was directed to the intersection of 322 and 82 and shut down eastbound traffic on 322 throughout the duration of the incident. EMS units from Washington Hose, Westwood and Elverson-Honey Brook Area EMS were on scene and all transported patients. Flings Towing arrived and removed the vehicles involved in the accident and once all vehicles were removed, patients were transported and debris was cleared the company was available and roadway reopened. |
