| On Saturday evening at 5:58pm, EBFC along with EMS from Westwood and West Brandywine Police were dispatched to the area of Route 82 and Hibernia Rd for an auto accident. Initial reports indicated a vehicle head on into a telephone pole with smoke from the vehicle.
MICU 244-1 arrived first and reported the occupant out of the vehicle and a pole on fire.
Chief 49 arrived and assumed command, Assistant 49 arrived shortly after and shutdown 82 southbound at Route 322. Rescue 49's crew arrived and stood by on scene while crews awaited PECO arrival and kept the northbound side of 82 closed at Hibernia. Once PECO and Flings Towing arrived crews assisted with debris cleanup and once the vehicle was removed crews were made available. The occupant of the vehicle was uninjured and the incident was turned over to the police department. |
