This morning at 12:31am the East Brandywine Fire Company was dispatched for an Engine to assist the West Whiteland Fire Company on a reported house fire in Exton Station on Cassatt Ct.

Initial reports indicated smoke coming from a second floor window with one person possibly still inside of the residence.
Engine 49-2 made the response with 5 along with Utility 49-1. Units from West Whiteland Fire & Police arrived on scene with smoke showing from the front door and immediately found a victim inside the residence and swiftly extricated them and brought them to an awaiting EMS crew who transported the patient.

Crews from West Whiteland stretched an 1 3/4 handline and went to the roof as well to begin opening up. Crews from Lionville and East Brandywine arrived and assisted. Thankfully the home had operational sprinklers which kept the fire in check and it was quickly extinguished. Crews from EBFC cleared within 30 minutes and returned to station.
