| Today, members of the East Brandywine Fire Company had the honor of joining the fire service community in paying tribute to George “Bud” Turner as he was laid to rest. Ladder 49, alongside Ladder 33 from the Honey Brook Fire Company, provided a ladder arch over Lincoln Highway as the funeral procession passed beneath, a longstanding fire service tradition used to honor those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. Following the procession, members attended the funeral service at SS. Philip & James Church to pay their respects. Bud's impact on the fire service and the countless lives he touched throughout the years will never be forgotten. His dedication, leadership, and friendship left a lasting mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. The Officers and Members of the East Brandywine Fire Company continue to keep the members of the West Whiteland Fire Company and the Turner family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Rest in Peace, Bud. Thank you for your years of service and commitment to your community. Your watch may have ended, but your legacy will live on for generations to come. ❤️🖤🚒 |
