| Tonight's training was another outstanding opportunity for our EMS providers to continue learning and growing.
This evening, 14 current and future EMS providers participated in an outstanding training session focused on Autism in EMS.
We were honored to welcome Dr. Jessica Zawacki, PhD, BCBA, Director of Research for ABA Centers of Pennsylvania, who provided valuable insight into understanding autism and effective strategies for caring for autistic patients in the prehospital setting. The training emphasized communication, reducing sensory stress, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care during emergency responses.
This program is part of our ongoing monthly EMS education series, offered in addition to our regular training schedule, to ensure our providers continue to develop the knowledge and skills needed to better serve our community.
