π₯ FIRE PREVENTION SEASON IS HERE! π
Fire Prevention time is upon us, and today we kicked off our school visits with the WOW Homeschool Co-op at East Brandywine Baptist Church!
Members of the East Brandywine Fire Company spent time with the kids talking about fire safety, showing them some of the equipment firefighters use, and giving them an up-close look at Engine 49-1. The kids also had the opportunity to climb inside the engine and learn what firefighters look and sound like when wearing full protective gear.
One of the most important parts of Fire Prevention education is helping children become comfortable around firefighters and understand that firefighters are there to help them during an emergency β even when weβre wearing all of our gear.
Next up is Hopewell Preschool, and then next week weβll be visiting Pope John Paul, Reeceville, and Brandywine Wallace as we continue spreading the fire safety message throughout our community!
π And donβt forget β our annual Open House is coming up!
