East Brandywine Fire Company members brought Ladder 49 to Applecross Country Club to assist with the annual Liv2BeKind Golf Ball Drop, lending equipment and manpower to the community fundraiser.
Members positioned Ladder 49 and rigged a bag of numbered golf balls to be suspended from the aerial ladder above the target area. Once the setup was ready, the balls were released onto the green below. The goal was simple: the ball landing closest to the pin wins.
The ball drop gave participants a chance to support a charitable cause while competing for prizes in an unusual way—without having to swing a club. Each numbered ball represented an entry, with its final resting place determining the outcome.
The Liv2BeKind event supports the physical and mental health and wellness of local youth. East Brandywine Fire Company was pleased to contribute to that mission by helping carry out the event’s signature ball drop.
Thank you to Applecross Country Club, the event organizers, and everyone who participated and supported the fundraiser. EBFC is proud to serve our community both through emergency response and by lending a hand at events that bring people together. |
