House Fire Edna's Lane

On Saturday January 7th, East Brandywine Fire Company was dispatch to a dwelling fire on Edna's Lane. Stations 48, 33, 69 and Ambulance 144 also made the response.

While en-route Chief 49 was advised by Chester County radio that the caller advised that the fire started in the chimney and had extended outside.

Chief 49 arrived on scene and confirmed the report.

Upon arrival of Engine 49 a supply line was laid and crews advanced an attack line inside the building. Simultaneously crew began to open up exterior walls. Upon arrival of Ladder 49 the house was laddered and crews went to the roof.

The fire was quickly brought under control with the help of all responding stations.

Unfortunately due to the soft terrain and warm weather several apparatus were stuck. According to neighbors in the area this is a common problem.

The Officers and Members of East Brandywine would like to the Daryl Fling of Fling's towing for all of his help and support. In total 5 vehicles needed removed.
