| On Sunday April 29th three members of East Brandywine Fire Company traveled to the Seagrave plant in Clintonville Wisconsin for final inspection of our new Pumper / Tanker. Assistant Chief Bobby Zynn, Safety Officer Bruce Anderson, and Captain Bill Rees have been painstakingly reviewing each line item of the truck specification to make sure everything is correct and functioning. Rob Zelehoski from Foley Fire Apparatus also accompanied East Brandywine's team. Although Rob is our salesman his passion for making sure the truck is perfect is palpable. We anticipate the truck being ready for delivery within two weeks. According to the advance team the truck absolutely represents our goals. That is, a relatively nimble Pumper / Tanker, that has an old school look and functionality with the ladders and hard sleeves exposed combined, with state of the art technology. An emphasis was placed on making sure that behind every decision there was rationale. The Truck Committee took months evaluating each aspect of the truck prior to finalizing the specification. The Truck Committee would like to thank the following individuals and Fire Companies that helped in the process. Ideas (big and small) were borrowed from each of the following: Witmer Fire Protection Association, Station 4-10
Robert Pacana
Please check back in the very near future for more information about delivery. The Officers and Members of East Brandywine would like to invite the community and Townships Officials to help celebrate the trucks delivery. |
