| Shortly after midnight on Saturday April 13th, East Brandywine Fire Company Volunteers were dispatched to an auto accident in conjunction with Glen Moore Fire Company and Ambulance 144.
The location of the call was reported as Reeceville Road and Lauren Lane in West Brandywine Township. Supposedly the caller reported a car into a telephone pole.
Upon arrival of Chief 49 and Assistant 49 a truck was noted on its side, in thick vegetation, with two patients one being pediatric entrapped.
Chief 49 upgraded the assignment to entrapment, and requested additional Fire Police from Station 38 and 35.
Extrication of both patients took place in under 14 minutes and they were rapidly transported to Paoli Trauma Center via Ambulance 144 with Medic 93 on board.
Engine 49 remained on scene to provide lighting for Flings Towing who recovered the vehicle from the thick vegetation.
Chief 49 would like to thank everyone who participated in the call. As a result of everyone's effort these patients rapidly extricated and provided high quality emergency care. |
