East Brandywine Fire Company along with Engine 76, Station 35, Engine 38, Engine 34-5 and Amb. 34-1 were dispatched at 11:47 a.m. to 3020 Manor Rd. for a building fire. Deputy 38 arrived first on scene to find a fully involved 70' x 40' auto repair shop. Upon arrival Engines 76 and 49 immediately went into service with multiple handlines and Blitzfires.

Fire crews encountered numerous hazards including propane, acetylene, oxygen and fuel oils, which created small explosions throughout the incident.

Deputy 49 held command, while Deputy 38 had operations. Due to a lack of hydrants in the area, a tanker task force was added including several Lancaster County tankers.
The fire was declared under control at 12:42 and was contained to the building of origin with minor damage to one exposure.
