Saturday April 12th proved to be an extremely busy day for the Volunteers of East Brandywine Fire Company as they participated in a variety of activities.

The day started by taking Ladder 49 to East Brandywine Community park to help the East Brandywine Youth Association celebrate their Opening Day Ceremonies.

While a crew handled Ladder 49’s detail another group broke ground on the training pad. East Brandywine is proud to announce the construction of a 40’x40’ training pad that was approved by the Township this past week. The pad will not only have multiple training props to include: two roof simulators and a door prop; it will also have multiple other features to include a guardrail and hydrant.

Simultaneously while the pad was being excavated the Training Division was working on building the flat roof prop.

Speaking of training, Lt. Pilotti and our two firefighters currently enrolled in Fire 1 took advantage of the weather to prepare for their upcoming skill station testing.

As the evening approached crews donned their Class B uniforms in order to prepare for an overnight standby to cover Longwood Fire Company for their annual banquet.

The Line Officers would like to thank everyone for their hard work in accomplishing all these activities
