On Monday evening just after 7:00 PM, ATV 49 was dispatched to assist Lionville Fire Company in West Pikeland Township. The ATV was requested in order to access and transport a patient who had fallen victim to an equestrian accident nearly a mile off the main road.

The only access to the patients location was through a narrow, wooded trail which was only accessible by foot or an all-terrain-vehicle. Kimberton's ATV 61, staffed by Malvern, was also dispatched for assistance with widening the trail.

ATV 49 arrived on scene and was escorted by a Lionville Firefighter to the patient who had already been packaged and ready for transport. The patient was loaded up on the unit and transported to the ambulance, which was waiting at the entrance to the trail.

After the patient was transferred the ambulance for transport, all units went available.
