Following the storm on Tuesday July 8th a large portion of our area found themselves without power. A number of residents turned to generators to provide them with supplemental electricity. As a result East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers responded to two reported house fires.

The first response was to Raleigh Drive in West Brandywine Township. Glen Moore Fire Company, Alert Fire Company and Honey Brook Fire Company as well as Westwood Ambulance were also due on the assignment. Upon arrival a light smoke condition was noted in the basement which appeared electrical. The response was held to East Brandywine and Glen Moore units. The situation was quickly mitigated and placed under control.

The second response was for a reported "out building" in the Indian Run Trailer Park. Glen Moore Fire Company, Honey Brook Fire Company and Westwood Ambulance were also due. While en-route West Brandywine Police went on location and reported an out building fully involved with explosions and extension into the trailer. Twin Valley Fire Company and Westwood Fire Company's Tankers were added automatically due to problems with the water system as a result of the storm.

The Line Officers of East Brandywine would like to thank all involved with both calls for a job well done!
