On Wednesday July 30th, twenty-five East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in practicing hose lays while incorporating a drivers qualification test.

The group reviewed forward lays, reverse lays, as well as split lays. Crews were divided and participated in multiple scenarios which included securing a water supply, and charging handlines.

While participating in scenario based training Chief Engineer Bob Zynn used the opportunity to test our newest Engineer John Groff on Engine 49-5. Engineer Groff invested 18 hours of training in the truck in preparation for the test.

The Line Officers would like to congratulate Engineer Groff for successfully passing his drivers test and thank him for his time commitment while preparing for the test.
