On Saturday November 8th, East Brandywine Fire Company provided stand-by coverage for the West Chester Fire Department for sixteen hours during their annual Department banquet.

The Oxford Fire Company (21), Longwood Fire Company (25), and Berwyn Fire Company (2) also participated with providing stand-by coverage.

Around 11:30 pm all units were alerted to a fire type unknown in the area of 882 South Matlack Street. Once Police arrived on scene supplemental information indicated it was truck fire in the Chapmann parking lot. Crews from all the stand-by companies worked together to quickly extinguish the fire.

The Line Officers would like to thank Chief 51 and the entire West Chester Fire Department for their hospitality
during the stand-by.
