Many of the residents in our Community do not recognize that the East Brandywine Fire Company is 100% Volunteer when they require our services.

That means that dedicated men and women, many of whom are your neighbors, selflessly give of their time in order to protect your life and property. These volunteer professionals often miss meals with family, holiday gatherings, or endure sleepless nights for little recognition and no pay.

It is that time of the year where we need your help!

During the course of the last month the Annual Fund drive letter was mailed out to the residents in our Community. Last year only 1 in 4 households contributed, resulting in a response rate of 25%. Take a moment an imagine if as a Fire Company we only responded 25% of the time? Of course this would never happen but it would be really troubling.

Municipal contributions only cover about half of the Fire Company's operating expenses, to include apparatus repairs, training, protective equipment, and building expenses. The remainder of our budget must be subsidized by fund raising. We are dependent upon the generosity of the Community to be able to provide high quality emergency services.
