On Friday February 6th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to assist the Glen Moore Fire Company with an auto-accident on Route 82 north of Fairview Road. Additionally Ambulance 89-2 was on the assignment.

Shortly after dispatch the nature of the call was upgraded to and accident with entrapment. As Chief 49 went enroute he was advised that it was a tractor trailer vs. a car. Medic 93 was also added to the assignment once it was upgraded.

Upon arrival of Chief 49, Route 82 Command was established and personnel from Engine 48-1 and 49-1 worked towards extricating the driver of the minivan. Once the driver was removed he was transported by the Ambulance and Medic to a Trauma Center.
