East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers responded to an auto accident with entrapment and a working chimney fire this past weekend.

Friday evening, Engine 49-1 was dispatched in conjunction with the Wagontown Fire Company for an auto accident in the area of 1160 Manor Road for a car reported into a tree. Units were unable to locate the accident until the address was corrected by Chester County Fire Radio to North Manor Road in Wallace Township.

Both East Brandywine and Wagontown Fire Companies responded while the Glen Moore Fire Company was also alerted because the updated address was located in their local. Medic 93 and Ambulance 144 were also due on the assignment.

Personnel from all 3 Companies worked collaboratively to extricate the patient.

The Officers and Members of East Brandywine Fire Company thoughts and prayers are with the patient and his family.

Saturday afternoon, East Brandywine volunteers were dispatched to assist the Honey Brook Fire Company with a chimney fire on Route 322 in the area of Rocklyn Station Road.

Honey Brook and East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers worked together to extinguish a stubborn chimney fire. After about an hour and a half the situation was placed under control and the units cleared the scene.
