The Officers and Members of the East Brandywine Fire Company would like to congratulate Max Castoldi, Nick Proko, Greg Kohlmaier, Ben Mucha, and Clayton Kovatch on the successful completion of their NREMT.

Over the past few months the EMS Division of East Brandywine Fire Company has been very busy. A few highlights include:

With the addition of the 5 volunteers mentioned above, the Company now has 20 active EMT's. Many of the EMT's volunteering have advanced medical degrees in Nursing, Respiratory Care, and Para-medicine.

New jackets have been ordered and received for the EMS crew to wear in poor weather conditions and it also identifies us on emergency scenes. When asked about this EMS Captain Miller had this to say, "I believe it is very important for our volunteers to be identifiable and also be safe on all of our incidents in the variety of weather we have to respond in".

Lastly, with the influx of new volunteers interested in becoming EMT's. Our EMS Lieutenant has implemented a new program for these new members to provide them with the on the job training and experience needed to become a Primary EMT for EBFC. "We are always learning and evolving, it is very important for new members to get out on our QRS and get the knowledge that classrooms can not offer".
