ATV 49 - Assists on Woods Fire / Company Responds to Agricultural Rescue

On Sunday April 19th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers assisted the Westwood Fire Company with a woods fire in the area of Glencrest Road.

Utility 49, ATV 49, and Assistant Chief 49 made the response with a crew of 8, to assist with bringing the fire under control. Crews operated for nearly 4 hours on-scene.

Shortly after their return to the Station, the Company was dispatched for an agricultural rescue. Upon arrival crews found a patient pinned beneath a lawn tractor which had fallen off a 7 foot retaining wall. The patient was removed, assessed, and transported to a local Trauma Center.
