On Tuesday May 12th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to assist the Honey Brook Fire Company for a house fire in the 600 block of Water Street.

First in apparatus and Chief Officers from Honey Brook arrived shortly after dispatch, and confirmed a working fire with entrapment. Crews quickly facilitated removal of the victim while also being engaged in fire suppression activities. Upon arrival of Ladder 49, personnel were sent to the roof in order to ventilate the building vertically.

Volunteers from Twin Valley Fire Company, Caernarvon Fire Company, Elverson EMS and Brandywine Medic 93 worked collaboratively to mitigate the emergency. The incident was investigated by the Chester County Fire Marshals Office as well as the Pennsylvania State Police and Honey Brook Police Department.

The Line Officers of East Brandywine would like to applaud the efforts of all the volunteers of Honey Brook Fire Company for a job well done. Additionally our thoughts and prayers are with the family as today's fire resulted in a fatality.
