On the evening of Wednesday May 20th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers gathered for their weekly training session. This training session focused on forcing entry when faced with a locked door.

Training Officer Chris Keen and Captain Joe Monestere facilitated the drill and incorporated smoke to increase the difficulty. Many participants said the smoke added a different dynamic, which was more consistent with what you may be confronted with in real life.

While training was being conducted, East Brandywine's Engineering Division performed detailed truck checks on our 3 main pieces of apparatus. These in depth checks allow us to make sure our equipment is performing at maximum capacity while also allowing us to catch minor issues before they become problematic.
