On the morning of July 15th following a severe lightning storm, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to a tree fire in the Hide-Away Farms development. The Glen Moore Fire Company was also due on the assignment.

Crews arrived on scene to find a large tree approximately a quarter mile off the road on fire. The tree had been struck by lightning splitting the tree and igniting the center.

ATV 49 was used to access the area where the tree was located an extinguish the fire.
