Midnight Vehicle Accident with Fire

Shortly after midnight, EBFC Volunteers along with Glen Moore Fire Company, Ambulance 144 and Medic 93 were alerted to an accident, vehicle reported to be on fire in the area of 322 and 82.

Arriving on scene, Captain 49 (Monestere) confirmed a 1 vehicle accident, on the side of the roadway, fully involved, and 1 patient to be checked who was already out of the car. Shortly there after, Engine 49-1 arrived and began extinguishing the vehicle. Crews from Glen Moore arrived and assisted with fire suppression. During this time, crews witnessed the failure of the gas tank and the run-off ignited running down hill. Under the direction of Asst Chief D'Amico and Glen Moore Chief King, crews quickly applied foam to the fuel fire, controlled the fuel spill and contained the incident.

All units cleared shortly there after.
