On Sunday August 23rd, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers assisted the Westwood Fire Company on a barn fire in East Fallowfield Township.

Engine 49-5 with a crew of 6 and Utility 49 with a crew of 2 responded shortly after dispatch. Upon arrival personnel from Engine 49-5 supported the fire suppression efforts, while the Engine 49-5's driver operator shuttled multiple water loads.

Personnel from multiple Chester and Lancaster County Fire Companies, worked collaboratively with the owner and local farmers who were operating heavy equipment to extinguish the fire.
