On Wednesday evening September 23rd, thirty East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in an incident critique of a recent dwelling fire as well as a rope rescue review.

The evening started with a incident critique of the 100 Hopewell Road dwelling fire which occurred earlier this month. A series of slides were presented and the incident was reviewed for both things that went well, and also areas of improvement.

Assistant Chief Vince D'Amico said "one of the things that is important about our culture is our personnel are always looking for areas of improvement even when the outcome has been successful".

Some of the slides used in the presentation have been provided for your review.

Following the incident critique, FF Sergio Ora who is a member of the Chester County Rescue Task Force (High Angle Rescue) reviewed equipment utilized during rope rescue. FF Ora reviewed all of the rope rescue equipment located on Ladder 49 which is a similar but smaller compliment carried by the Task Force Companies.

The Line Officers would like to thank FF Ora for offering his time and expertise. Additionally the Line Officers would like to thank all of the volunteers who continue to make training a routine part of their weekly schedule.
