On Saturday morning April 30th around 6:30am East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to a reported garage fire on Swinehart Road. Deputy 49 arrived on location shortly after dispatch and reported a working garage fire with the house as an exposure.

Upon Chief 49's arrival Swinehart Command was established and Assistant 49 managed operations. Engine 76 arrived and crews deployed 2.5 inch line to the garage while Engine 49-5's crew deployed 2 additional attack lines and established a water supply. Within 5 minutes of arrival the bulk of the fire was knocked down.

Once the fire was under control County and State Fire Marshals conducted their investigation to determine origin and cause.
