Engine 49-5 Substitutes as a School Bus for a Day |

On Thursday morning May 19th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers left the Station early to participate in a special assignment. A crew of 5 firefighters took Engine 49-5, QRS 49, and Utility 49 and picked up some local children and drove them to school. The lucky Brandywine Elementary School students included: Freddie Digby Earlier this year the Fire Company donated the fire truck ride as an auction item to benefit the School. All the kids were safely delivered and greeted by large crowd of enthusiastic classmates. |
