In the early hours of Friday August 5th, EBFC members responded to reports of multiple trucks on fire at a local waste management facility. Chief 48 went on location and confirmed the report of 3 trucks fully involved. He requested the first in engine pull a 2 1/2" attack line and the next in tanker to set up to supply. Engine 49-1 arrived first and deployed a 2 1/2" attack line and a 1 3/4" back up line. Engine 49-5 arrived next and supplied Engine 49-1 and also deployed a 1 3/4" attack line. Apparatus from Glen Moore were next to arrive and deploy attack lines. The bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly with all crews working diligently. The fire was prevented from spreading to the adjacent trucks by the quick work of all crews.
