On Sunday afternoon August 14th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to Route 282 in the area of Hawk Hill Road for a reported auto accident. The Glen Moore Fire Company was also due on the assignment.

Upon arrival it was determined that a single car had existed the roadway and struck a pole sheering the pole in half.

Firefighters controlled hazards and fluids, and managed traffic, while ambulance personnel from Downingtown attended to the patient.

All Companies cleared the scene about 30 minutes after arrival.
