On the evening of Wednesday October 19th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers played host to over 1,000 people who attended their annual Open House.

According to Assistant Chief Vince D'Amico who orchestrated logistics for the event, "fire prevention and community engagement are both incredibly important to our team, I think tonight's record breaking attendance has proven our efforts have been successful".

Each year East Brandywine volunteers try and provide attendees with a variety activities that both interesting and interactive. According to Deputy Chief Joe Edwards "our goal is create an atmosphere which is both fun and exciting". Edwards also added "we want to reinforce important safety tips for the kids, while helping the adults understand the importance of the volunteer fire service".
