Company Experiences an Unusal Day

Saturday November 19th proved to be a bit of an unusual day for East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers. It was unusual in the sense that the Company found itself either covering calls, or providing mutual aid assistance from Parkesburg to West Chester.

Early Saturday afternoon Engine 49-1 and Deputy 49 left to provide nearly 16 hours of stand-by coverage to the West Chester Fire Department as their volunteers celebrated at their annual banquet.

Later that evening ATV 49 and Assistant 49 assisted Keystone Valley Fire Company on a large woods fire in Parkesburg. It was estimated by Command that the fire involved over 20 acres of woods.

Finally just before midnight Engine 49-5, Chief 49, and Assistant 49 assisted the Lionville Fire Company with a dwelling fire in Upper Uwchlan Township.

The Line Officers for East Brandywine would like to thank all of our volunteers who continue to donate their time in order to help ensure the safety of our Community and our neighbors.
