Around 3am on Sunday November 27th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to an automobile accident on Route 322.

Assistant 49 went en-route shortly after dispatch and was notified by Chester County Emergency Radio that the accident involved one vehicle into a pole. Upon arrival responding personnel attended to the occupant of the vehicle who was transported to a local hospital. Additionally traffic management became a priority due to downed wires and a compromised utility pole.

As a result of the accident, Route 322 between Culbertson Run Road and Swinehart Road needed to be closed for nearly 14 hours, while PECO and Verizon worked to correct the problem. Additionally residents in the area of the Ramblewood Development lost power for the better part of the day.

The Officers and Members of East Brandywine Fire Company would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the victim of the accident, and also extend our thanks to all of those drivers whose route of travel was detoured for their patience.

Thank you to the fire department, the police department, all other emergency responders that I am not aware of, PECO and Verizon for a job well done! We (Ramblewood Neighbors) hope that the driver and any passengers are ok!
