Police Department and Fire Company Share a Unique Bond

On Wednesday evening December 21st, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers received a very special recognition. At the Township Board of Supervisors meeting the East Brandywine Township Police Department presented the Company with a plaque.

Police Chief Mark Kocsi praised the volunteers for their commitment to the Community while highlighting the incredible working relationship shared by the two groups.

Fire Chief John Edwards, thanked the Chief and stated their was a mutual admiration and respect for his team of Officers.

The Community is better served when Police Department and Fire Company work collaboratively in response to emergencies. Chief Edwards summed it up best when he said "our groups share a unique bond, each risks their life on a daily basis to protect our residents".

Additionally at the meeting the Police Department promoted 5 Officers.

Those Officers Promoted to the role of Sergeants include:

Steven Leifolt
Mark Twadell
James Ferraro
Glen Mooney

The Officer promoted to the role of Corporal include:

Jeff Yankanich

The Officers and Members of East Brnadywine Fire Company would like to thank Chief Kocsi and his team for the the thoughtful recognition. Additionally we would like to congratulate all of those Officers who received promotions.
