On the evening of Wednesday February 1st, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in chimney fire training. Personnel traveled to West Whiteland to utilize a house on the property of Church Farm School.

Lt. PJ Groff facilitated the evening which included 2 live chimney fires. Personnel had the opportunity to advance hoselines, throw ground ladders, clean out a fire box, and drop chimney chains with an active fire.

Eighteen volunteers attended the training despite the fact that the Company had already responded to two house fires within 24 hours.

The Line Officers of East Brandywine Fire Company would like to thank Chief Turner and the West Whiteland Fire Company for the use of their training building.
