On Wednesday evening February 28th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in a vehicle rescue training exercise.

An incident was put together by Training Officer Chris Keen in which a two car collision occurred with multiple persons trapped. Complicating the scenario one of the victims was ejected through the window and we pinned under the other car.

Lt. John Needles said "while these scenarios are very challenging, it helps us prepare for the worst during a real incident". Needles said "the complexity of the scenario helps us plan for multiple extrication pathways in the event our first method does not work out".

Special thanks to all of the volunteers who continue to give of their time in order to advance their skill set.
