On Tuesday morning May 28th just after 8am East Brandywine Fire Company was dispatched to assist Modena Fire Company at 113 Lower Gap Rd in South Coatesville for the reported house fire. Initial reports were of smoke and flames visible from a house.

Ambulance 37-1 arrived first and reported an abandoned house fully involved in a heavily wooded area. Due to the location of the fire and lack of hydrants in the area EBFC's assignment was changed from RIT (Rapid Intervention) to water supply and we were asked to respond with Engine 49-5 instead of the Ladder.

Upon the arrival of 49-5 the crew backed in and supplied water to the scene and assisted crews with fire suppression. EBFC was on scene for approx. 2 hours and responded with 7 members.
