As some heavy rain and thunderstorms passed through the area on Friday afternoon the East Brandywine Fire Company along with Westwood EMS and West Brandywine PD were dispatched to Manor Rd & Hibernia Rd for an auto accident reported with possible entrapment.

Initial reports were of a two vehicle head-on accident with one subject possibly trapped in a pickup truck.

Deputy 49 arrived first and confirmed a head-on accident blocking traffic with negative entrapment and two injuries. A second ambulance was requested to the scene which was MICU 93. Rescue 49, Engine 49-2, Utility 49 and QRS 49 all made the response.

Crews from the Rescue and Engine secured the vehicles and cleaned up the debris in the roadway while the Utility and QRS provided traffic control.

Flings Towing arrived and removed both vehicles and once the roadway was cleaned up all units cleared the scene.
