October 1, 2025

Last evening, October 1, 2025, the Officers and Members of East Brandywine Fire Company proudly placed our brand-new Rescue 49 officially into service!

Rescue 49 is a 2025 Pierce Enforcer Walk-In Heavy-Duty Rescue, designed to provide our members with the most advanced technology and capabilities to serve our community safely and efficiently. The new Rescue replaces our previous unit, a 2004 Pierce Dash that was originally designed as a first-out attack engine and later converted to a Rescue after the arrival of Engine 49-2. The 2004 Pierce Dash was recently sold to the Red Hill Fire Company in Montgomery County, PA.

Less than 24 hours after being placed in service, Rescue 49 has already responded to two calls, quickly proving its value to both our firefighters and the community we serve.
