On Monday night at 5:10pm the East Brandywine Fire Company was disaptched to the 1600blk of Hydrangea Way in the new Brandywine Walk development for a gas leak outside. Contractors were on site and had an active leak from a 1 inch gas line.

Deputy 49 arrived first and established command and confirmed a leak and requested PECO Gas to the scene. Engine 49-5 and Ladder 49 along with Utility 49-2 all made the response. Crews checked nearby homes for any gas odors and found none. PECO arrived quickly and began to work on the leak while crews continued to monitor the air during the operation.

At 6:32pm the incident was placed under control with the leak fixed and EBFC crews were made available and returned to station.
