On Thursday afternoon at 2:35pm, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to assist the Honey Brook Fire Company, along with several other area departments, for a reported woods fire in the 400 block of Pleasant View Rd in Honey Brook Township.

Units from Station 33 were already on location, with Chief 33 reporting approximately a 200’ x 100’ area of woods on fire. With that information, additional resources were requested, including two Brush units, two ATVs, and a Tanker.

Utility 49-2 and ATV 49 made the response. Upon arrival, EBFC personnel assisted crews from Honey Brook with hot spots throughout the fire area and supported overhaul operations once the fire was brought under control.

The fire was placed under control at approximately 3:10 PM.
