| Last night, for our weekly training, members of East Brandywine Fire Company once again traveled to the acquired structure in West Brandywine Township to continue our roof operations training. This week, we were joined by members of Glen Moore Fire Company (Station 48) for a great evening of hands-on, joint training.
Crews worked through multiple scenarios covering a variety of roof operations, including sounding the roof to ensure it was safe to operate on, proper ventilation techniques, saw operations, and effective roof cutting methods. Every member had the opportunity to get on the roof, operate the saw, and complete multiple ventilation cuts, helping to build confidence and proficiency in these critical firefighting skills. While crews were training on the roof, Firefighter Dave Ashbee worked with several members from Station 48, providing instruction on the setup and operation of the aerial on Ladder 49. Sharing knowledge and training together strengthens our ability to work seamlessly on the fireground when we're called to assist one another.
Training alongside our mutual aid partners is invaluable, and we appreciate Glen Moore Fire Company taking the time to join us for an excellent evening of learning and teamwork. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the night a success! #EastBrandywineFireCompany #TrainingTuesday #RoofOperations #TruckCompany #FirefighterTraining #MutualAid #Ladder49 |
