Community Engagement is Vital to our Success

East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers pride themselves on the following things:

1. Providing high quality Fire and EMS service to the Community
2. Routinely training to be prepared to handle emergencies efficiently and effectively
3. Investing in a Fire Prevention program with proven results that is one of the most robust in the State
4. Fostering strong relationships with Municipal and State leaders and working collaboratively for the good of the Community

Additionally our committed team of volunteers believe in something else, and that is community engagement. Community engagement is vital to our success as an organization and instrumental in driving our direct mail fund drive. Over the course of the year our volunteers will participate in nearly 30 events where they interact with our local residents and small business owners.

Chief Vince D'Amico said "getting out and getting to know our residents personally helps us better understand their needs and how best to serve them". D'Amico added "it also helps minimize their level of anxiety if they do require our services".

Yesterday the Company attended two events including a "Salute to Hero's" at CROPS the local grocery store, as well as a birthday party. Our Officers and Members would like to thank CROPS for inviting the Fire Company and Police Department to spend the day with them and interact with their customers. Additionally CROPS sold hot dogs, chips, and drinks of course for 49 cents.

Our EMS Division also supported the recent tours of the Bondsville Mill Park.

We would like to thank all of our volunteers who continue to donate their time to make our organization great.
