Saturday August 19th proved to be an incredibly busy day for our team of volunteers as they spent the day supporting East Brandywine Townships Community Day and Run for the Park. Following Community Day our team then prepared for the Fire Company’s annual fireworks celebration.

While it was a long day that started at 6:30am and ended at midnight, our volunteers value the relationships that are built and the education which is provided. We also love the fact that we help families make memories!

During the course of the day our team of volunteers educated the Community on the Emergency Services as well as provided a vehicle rescue demonstration.

Once the fireworks celebration rolled around our team shifted gears and focused their energies on creating a great event for our residents. Attendees enjoyed 150 beach balls and Frisbee's placed on the field as well as a moon bounce. Additionally DJ Rob entertained the audience and did an amazing job.

While the evening was a hit we did have to shoot the fireworks early as a result of a quick moving storm.

The Officers and Members of East Brandywine Fire Company would like to congratulate East Brandywine Parks and Recreation Committee on job well done with Community Day and the Run.

We would like to thank the Weaverland Valley Fire Department for providing us coverage during these events.

We would also like to thank the Thorndale Fire Company and Honey Brook Fire Company for loaning us their signboards and light towers. Also thanks to JeffSTAT medical helicopter for attending the event.

Lastly we would like to acknowledge our DJ, DJ Rob who does an amazing job for us each year.

Enjoy some photos from the day.
